CIRCLE-KEEPING

Carolyn is a highly skilled advanced-level circle-keeper. She has certification from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Minnesota Department of Corrections (with Kay Pranis) as well as Community Justice Initiatives (CJI-BC), and Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Vancouver.

Circles to resolve offender-victim situations, workplace conflict, and community disagreements (i.e. family issues, resource management) as well as grief & loss and talking circles have been Carolyn’s specialty. She has also co-taught school-based dispute resolution at the Oakland Unified School District (California).
